Hanover/Fort Mill, July 8, 2019. Effective immediately, the John Deere 6MC, 6RC, 6M and 6R mid-sized tractor product lines will also be available with Continental Tractor70 and Tractor85 tires. The OE approval for 30 different sizes of agricultural tires was issued after a comprehensive audit of the Continental plant in the Portuguese town of Lousado, where the tires are manufactured. Following a partnership agreement, the leading technology company Continental is further expanding its business as an original equipment supplier in the agricultural sector.
Fort Mill, June 5, 2019. General Tire, a brand of Continental, is launching a new line of press-on-band tires in the U.S. and Canada. Two tires are being introduced, the General Tire Trac and the General Tire Smooth, both of which complement the full product range of Continental branded material handling tires currently offered in these markets.
Fort Mill, May 31, 2019. Continental has been named the 2018 Supplier of the Year for ground support equipment by Southwest Airlines. The award was presented at the annual Southwest Airlines Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN in April and accepted by Continental’s Commercial Specialty Tire team.
Hanover/Munich, March 25, 2019. Continental is taking yet another stride toward servitization at this year’s bauma, which takes place from April 8–14 in Munich. The technology company is presenting its new ContiLogger consultancy concept, which incorporates tires, hardware, software and data in an innovative service concept. This allows Continental to link end customer and Continental expertise even more closely.
Hanover/Fort Mill, March 19, 2019. Continental is further extending its tire portfolio for the earthmoving industry. The technology company recently launched a new compound for its RDT-Master for the use on Rigid Dump Trucks. The cut-resistant compound was developed for rough and abrasive applications where tires have to withstand sharp gravel, rocks and stones.
